Thanksgiving

Ah, what a day! I love Thanksgiving! It’s so full of warmth and family. I remember a time that I used to dread this kind of a get together. Not anymore! I don’t know what changed… perhaps I’m old enough not to dread the work involved, now I actually look forward to it. yum yum.
I made rolls and cranberry sauce. This year we’re going to Jeff’s uncle’s house, and apparently no one makes cranberry sauce from scratch, they buy the gelatin-like goo in a can. Ick. So that’s funny that they asked me to bring the “homemade stuff”. I’ll probably be bringing it every year now. I don’t mind, it takes all of 10 minutes to make. Geez. If people only knew how little effort it took…
I miss my sister now more than ever. Holidays were not only a time to be with all our family, but it was also a time that my siblings and I got along better than ever. I think it was the fact that we were intimidated by all the extended family and found shelter in each other. WHERE IS MY PARTNER IN CRIME!!! Oh, yes, i remember, she’s in Mexico. Well, I will call her later to make sure she had a good day.
Let’s see… I am thankful for: Jeff, my warm house, my fam, etc etc.
ok annie, I’ll tell you what I’m thankful for but too timid to say:
– Jeff’s Eddie Murphy impressions
– My down comforter on chilly nights
– The smell of baking in my kitchen
– snow. (heaven forbid! I love it!)
– my plants
– tea
– Cards w/ Attitude
So yeah, good idea Annie! I like that much better actually. It’s kinda hard to stop once you start! Can’t ever be too grateful though… Well, off to enjoy the festivities!
Love to all of you, hope you all have a great day!
