The times they are a changin

Yesterday over 22,000 people marched in a massive funeral procession in front of Fort Benning, in honor of those lost as a result of the leadership of graduates of the SOA. I get email updates about the school and the protests that take place. These pictures were in the last email I received, and it was moving to me. It’s proof that people from all different walks of life, young and old, can come together in the name of peace. The grandmother in the second picture was actually arrested yesterday and the quote of the day comes from her mouth.
“As a grandmother, I feel deep compassion and an urge for protection for the vulnerable, the young, and families. It breaks my heart to know about the continual murders and disappearances of countless people in Latin America. SOA trains the perpetrators of these crimes.” -Cathy Webster
