The party…
Jeff and I threw a New Year’s party at our house. It went fabulously. All we really wanted were good friends and a happy start to the new year. It’s funny, I’ve already grown tired of the crazy parties that I used to love. This was definitely an energetic party, but I think the main difference is that we knew everyone that was there. I even made snacks for everyone- guacamole, salsa, mozzarella-tomato-basil platter, a mushroom onion dip, brie en croute, and of course yummy drinks. All in all, I’d have to say that I felt very loved.
The party was reassuring because I recently had a falling out with an old friend. This helped me to feel loved and also put perspective on my situation. I know without a doubt that I have many good friends, all of whom I can trust and rely on. It was a good feeling.
Katy bought me the magic bullet for Christmas. We used it for the party, and everyone seemed enthralled with it. For those of you who are unfamiliar with this groundbreaking number: http://www.homelandhousewares.com/
Very fun. I’ll be blending away all my troubles for years to come.
I registered for 3 classes, and I am happy to get back into the swing of things. The only downside is that they are all night classes. So, for three days a week, I will be a blob of crazy tired whatever. It’s ok, sometimes I just feel weary when I think of the fact that I can never be a kid again. And sometimes I want to scream “I don’t wanna be a grown-up!”. Yet, I love growing, and if work is all I have to fear then life is good.
Hope everyone had a good day on Saturday/Sunday. Peace in 2006!
