My baby boy! Asa James, born at 3am this morning. 7 pounds, 15 ounces, 20 inches long. Perfectly healthy, and nursing well so far! Labor was great and uncomplicated, although I lost a little bit more blood than we would have liked afterwards, but everything is fine. I’m just taking it easy and not walking around a lot right now because I’m a little dizzy. It was appreciably shorter this time too (compared to the 40 hours with Vera). I’d say that true active labor was only about 8 hours. I’ll be sure to write up a birth story soon. 🙂

We’re totally in love, and Vera’s doing great.

Asa is absolutely smoochable. I’m sure he’s making your heart and your home burst with love.
Grace, I am glad that your labor journey was shorter this time around and can’t wait to hear about it…take it easy and give your body what it needs. You are in great hands, I am sure.
