All we can do is keep breathing

My good friend

 (Katy) is coming home from Nashville! She is moving home for at least the summer, and this is good. She and I have really pulled off the long-distance thing well, but it will be an extra fun summer with her around. Coffee… sudoku… sidetrack… whateva!!! So, she just started posting in her journal and you should friend her!! She is one of my favorite people, and I want you all to give her a warm welcome into the LJ community… go on! Friend her! Do it!

Kombucha is so refreshing. There’s really no beverage I like more after a hard day’s work. I long for it now if I’ve gone longer than a day without any. Mmmhmm.

We helped Jeff’s sister and her hubs and baby move today. I’m feeling it all through my arms and back now 🙂 I’m glad to help though, moving can be a daunting task without the help of friends and family. We were going to go see a movie with my parents tonight, but we aren’t going on account of being so whooped. I would also really like to get started on making the curtains for the big front window, and maybe get around to watching the netflix movies that have just been sitting on the table for forever.

I’ve decided that physical, repetitive, mundane activities are really healthy for me. Hand washing something, shoveling, sewing, knitting, mowing the lawn, dishes, vacuuming, etc. It’s relatively medetative, good exercise (in some cases), and keeps me from indulging in not-so-meditative-brain-sucking-self-pitying activities. Good thing, eh? Plus, I usually put on some good music and dance a little when I’m doing most of those things, which we all know is super nutritious for the soul.

I’ve become so happy that my stomach tingles and I want to smoosh my face in everything good.

ooh ooh, and p.s. to Cheryl- check out Ingrid Michaelson (if you don’t know her already). She reminds me a LOT of Regina Spektor, and I know you liked her.
